Wurmkos

Founded by Pasquale Campanella in 1987, Wurmkos is a group of artists with and without mental desease. Art and mental health merge at the Farmacia Wurmkos open-space without pursuing salvation. Assorted projects attract artists with/without mental-health problems, critics and others who lend a hand in the production of works and texts. In terms of method and results, Wurmkos is open and innovative. Farmacia Wurmkos, the workshop, interacts with the surrounding suburb and artists and institutions with similar approaches generate new projects with the group in its workshop, all joining forces to produce exhibitions, many of which have been held in Italy and abroad, including ones at the Venice Biennale, Gwangju Biennale, Milan Triennale and PAC, and Kunstraum Klagenfurt.
