POLISONUM

Polisonum is an artistic research collective that make use of sound as a method and device to investigate the metamorphosis of historical and contemporary places, of geographies and landscapes.

Polisonum trademark is its research focused on listening and interpreting the places in which it operates, natural or anthropic, through installations that render back sonic traces of a long gone identity or hardly noticeable in the space where they live.

The collective comprise several figures that intersects multiple disciplines such as visual arts, sound engineering and interaction design. The heart of its practice and starting point for every research is the relation between spaces and the sonic streams that animate it: the works of Polisonum become in turn sound portraits and containers of stories, transformations and evolutions.

The installations, conceived as open artworks, invite for the audience to intervene and participate, turning it into an integral and necessary element of every project.
