Impasse

Impasse is a cultural association founded in Torino, with the aim of extending and contaminating the contexts of production and dissemination for contemporary art. It's coordinated by Irene Pittatore, artist, and Nicoletta Daldanise, curator. Impasse includes new actors in the artistic process, such as educational institutions, social workers and experts from different fields of knowledge. Through workshops and relational art projects (youasme.it, abooktobe.wordpress.com), Impasse promotes the independency from cultural consumerism and the reflection about the material conditions for art workers (r-set.it). The organization analyses social and economic phenomena which are related to the contemporary art scene, encouraging cooperation and peer-to-peer education.
